Experience: I began my law enforcement career in 1993 with the North Hampton Police Department.  I attended the 100th NH Police Academy and obtained the rank of Detective.  In 1995 I was hired by the Greenland Police Department.  I obtained the rank of Sergeant in 1999.

Kurkul
Experience:  I began my career with the Amtrak Police in 1987 working as a railroad police officer at South Station in Boston, Massachusetts. I then went to work for the Exeter, New Hampshire Police Department from 1989 to 1999 while there performed the duties of a patrolman, investigator, and patrol sergeant. In 1999 I came to the Greenland police department where I served as a patrolman, and currently as the department detective.

Education and Training: I have an associate’s degree in general studies from the New Hampshire University System. I attended the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Georgia for my police academy as well as the New Hampshire Police Standards Training Council law package (89th academy). I completed the Command Training Program at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.  I currently serve as the departments Firearms and Defensive Tactics Instructor.  I am certified in Accident Reconstruction, Prosecutor Training, Field Training Officer, and Child Abuse Investigations

Hobbies: Spending time with my family and following our children’s sporting activities. We enjoy skiing and snowboarding, bicycling and playing soccer.

Experience: Began my Law Enforcement career as a Part-Time Patrolman with the Brentwood Police Department in 1995. I became a Full-Time Patrolman in 1997 with the Danville Police Department, graduating from the 111th Police Academy. In 1999 I was hired as a Full-Time Patrolman with the Greenland Police Department.

Cormier

Officer Cormier served in the US Air Force as a Law Enforcement Specialist from 1994-1998 in San Antonio Texas. He started Part Time at the Rollingsford Police Department, until going to the Full Time Police Academy in 2000 for the New Durham Police Department. Officer Cormier worked for over two years in New Durham until he was he was hired by the Rochester Police Department, where he remained until coming to the Greenland Police Department.

Officer Cormier was hired in Greenland on May 5, 2005, and is still an active patrolman today. He has specialized training in Traffic Accident Reconstruction, and a member of the Department’s Motorcycle Unit.

Experience:
Started serving the town of Greenland as a Firefighter and EMT in 2001 and became a part time patrolman in 2006. Graduated from the 247th New Hampshire Part- Time Police Academy and several months later gained full time employment with Hampton Fire and Rescue.
Integrating the knowledge from both fields to best serve the citizens is a great experience.
