1.   Dial *57 immediately after the call to activate Call Trace.  This marks the last call received so it must be done immediately after the harassing call.

2.    Keep messages left on answering machines and voice mail, the Police Department will make a copy of the messages.

3.     Keep a log of all harassing calls, including the date and time and any conversation.  If you have Caller-ID also list the phone number.

4.  Complete a written statement as to the facts of the case.

5.     If you speak to the caller tell them not to call again and hang up.  Do not try to engage them in conversation.
