How come a Police Officer from another
Town handled my problem?
The
Greenland Police
Department has Mutual Aid Agreements with all Towns in Rockingham
County.
If a Greenland Police Officer is tied up on
an emergency call and another emergency happens at the same time, a
mutual aid
call is dispatched to a neighboring town for assistance. If a
non-emergency call comes in when an
officer is tied up, that call will be answered when the Greenland
Officer
becomes available. We also assist other
agencies when they need assistance.
