from the Chief
As
summer comes to a close, I would like to just take a mintute to remind
you about some safety tips. You are your own line of defense in
preventing property crime.
Locking your doors, house, and
car is very important in preventing theft. be sure to lock all doors
and windows at night or when you are not home. Don't leave important
valuables in the open, making you an easy target. As always, if you
hear or see anything, day or night that seems suspicious please call
Dispatch right away at 772-4716. In case of emergency call 911.
Texting
and driving is a leading cause of car accidents. Research has shown
that when you add a cell phone to driving, you are four times more
likely to crash because you are taking your brain off the primary focus
of driving. We have informational packets and DVDs, at the PD, just
stop by and ask for one. I hope you share the information with family
members and friends about the dangers of driving and texting.
